Question by mstarkk: I am a renter in a nyc apartment building and have two roommates. What are my legal rights in kicking them out?
I am the only person on the lease but my two guarantors are my roommates family members. I want to kick them out and want to know if i have the legal right to do so bc they dont pay rent on time and we have our major differences. The leasing place says that the guarantors will be left until the lease is over. What are my legal right and can they sue me for kicking them out?

Answer by Landlord
You have no legal right to kick them out at all. Only the landlord can do that. It is almost impossible in NYC, the rent has to be unpaid for an expended period.
